Inspired Spring Cloche

*Refresh* Renew* Revive*
Inspired by Spring

Spring has been slowly creeping out all around the house, I'm ready, I know you are too. I spotted some green heads peeking out of the soil in our flower beds already, I know it's only a matter of time...

I've been playing...

I gave my hutch a mini makeover for spring and incorporated some blue with my normal green and white, it's been a really soothing pallet to me. I actually found these little blue mercury glass votives several years ago after Christmas, they don't look very Christmasy to me however...

I love using green apples, they look so fresh
{even though they're not!}

I spring-a-fied my cloche just today, A little blue bird, nest, moss, greenery and a frame...all sitting atop the cloche plate I made last summer

Yes, you can put ANYTHING under a cloche!

Have you been seeing lattice pattern popping up everywhere? I'm drawn to it too and I found these napkins with a big bold graphic pattern on one side and lattice on the other, I think it looks wonderful with my plaid burlap ribbon
{if you can notice it in the background, there's a better picture down the way...}

My wire cloche looks handsome with all his apples! This one is small enough to fit inside my hutch

My hutch consists of mostly thrift store finds, odd pieces, milk glass and my Claremont dishes, I'm not sure if you've seen those white dishes before or not...they might look vaguely familiar

Mr. Bluebird on my shoulder, I mean under my cloche....

My little ball finial, and his big brother...yes, I did two sizes, but I like the little one the best. He looks just right under glass

I put together a hydrangea basket to sit on top of the hutch and just tied some of the plaid burlap around the basket. I plan on using this ribbon on my front door wreath when it does get a little closer to spring

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you're inspired!

Heart Day Tablescape

Hello friends! It's been a while since I've played with my dishes, I've been in the painting, rearranging, crafting mode but Valentine's Day is a wonderful holiday to create a tablescape for! Red and white are on deck, one of my favorite color combos!

Thanks to Susan for hosting and be sure visit the Porch for some inspiration for Valentine's Day!

I found some super cute plates at TJ Maxx and it really inspired the whole table. I only found two, but used two red plates I already had to mix with.

The white dinner plates are from the Dollar Tree, I think they are really fun with the handles....lots of potential! I think you'll remember my Carnation Rondure, see how I made it here.

I used my handmade heart ornaments for the placesetting and wouldn't they make a cute hostess gift?

Now you might have noticed my table linens, actually, I used gift wrap and just cut it to size! I love hounds tooth and it looks great in red!

Plain white naps and white napkin rings let my little hearts lead the place setting. I used little red tea cups that you might you might remember from my Hounds tooth Holiday.

Creating mosaic is an easy way to use a lot of pictures without having a super long post. Create your own at Big Huge Labs.

A more stylized centerpiece, Tall candle holders on milk glass plates, bottles with red tulips, taper candles and votives, simple but very festive!

My herringbone placemats are usually for Christmas, I always try to buy things {like placemats} I can use for more than one occasion.

Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you're inspired!

Candlelight Vignette

Cold winter days and nights led me to create a candlelight vignette...my collection of glass candle holders, some old, some new, and white candles occupy my vintage buffet in the living room. I love the round mirror above the buffet, but I will tell you that it is hard to hang any artwork around it...What I have right now are some leaf prints in spectacular mirrored frames and I like how it looks, but, it's a good size wall, and really could stand some additional artwork.

This lamp I love, I know it is a little different, yes it is vintage, and if you could have seen the condition it was in when I saw it sitting atop a shelf in one of the most atrocious thrift shops I've ever been in, and to look at it now after all the TLC...well you'd love it too! I call it my beehive lamp.

I love curly willow and because of the vaulted ceilings in the living room, I can stand the height, the vase is from Z Gallerie (love that store!)

I've had these candle holders for a while, from Target

The tall candle holders are from my workplace

Are you sick of seeing my bowl of pine cones yet !?! I really love the pine cones here in Missouri, they are so different from the pine cones I'm use to in NC.

Thanks for coming by! I hope you are inspired to try a candlelight vignette to get you through the cold winter months ahead!

Head over to Grits and Glamour to see all the wonderful Tabletop Vignettes! Thanks for hosting Barb!
