Fall at the Falls

So did you think I fell off the face of the earth? Nope, I didn't, but computer woes have caused me to post less frequently than I like to...... stick with me while I get the PC repaired, and in the mean time, I'll rob my husbands mac, to share beautiful days like we had today.

I really love this time of year, I always say that, but it's true. Not too hot, not too cold, my surroundings change, and all too quickly, today, we just enjoyed God's beauty and didn't even leave town.

Justin and I took the kids to Grand Falls to take some pictures, I always love getting pictures of the kids in the fall. I had never been here before and it was really fun looking around and exploring, just playing!

Sometimes it's refreshing to just get out and about, not spending any money, not jetting off to some exotic locale, just enjoying where you are and where you live.
Look at this lone heron...

I'm reminded of how awesome my surrounding are....

...how there are miracles happening all around us....

stopping and looking...
...spending time with these guys...
Thanking God for miracles happening every single day....
that everything has a purpose and a reason...
for being where it is, for doing what it is doing, it is up to us to stop and enjoy all that is around us. Sometimes I forget to do that, I get wrapped up in the frenzy of everyday life...but today I remembered to do it.
Thanks for stopping by and reading my ramblings!! If you would like to see even more of my photos, visit my Flickr photostream!

Also, because of the computer situation, my monthly giveaway never came to fruition, so be looking for one this month!
I want to start a sponsorship program, I've mentioned that before, and hopefully I will be launching that very soon.

Last but not least, please come visit me on Paper-n-Stitch, it's a beautiful showcase of shops full of handmade goodness. I am really happy being on the exhibit, and I hope you come browse, you won't be sorry! Click on the link here, thanks!

Easter Day 2010

It was such a beautiful Resurrection Day! Along with spending some good quality time behind the camera, I spent some good time with family! My boys are growing up so fast!! Which can only mean that my perpetual age of 29 might be weakening! Yikes!
I caught some amazing photos of Spring flowers, as well as my boys. I am really in love with my new lens!!

Logan peeking through the tree...

Snowball trees

Red bud trees are in full swing too

This is one of my favorites of Keegan. All the color looks fantastic around him!

Logan is not quite as photogenic as Keegan, but not many 4 year olds are. Most shots of Logan are candid, such as this one, with he tongue stuck out!

The tulip trees are in full bloom! I love the color, really one of my favorite trees and smells wonderful!

This is my favorite of the day!

I'm not even sure what type of flowering tree this is, but it is so beautiful!

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you had a wonderful Easter Day!

Be sure to stop and see Mary at the Little Red House for Mosaic Monday!

Labor Day

It has been such a refreshing day today! I spent the day working on my flower beds! During a trip to Wal-mart, I couldn't help notice the wonderful display of fall mums that had arrived! I couldn't resist! The day was so beautiful and I can't think of a better way to say goodbye to Summer than planting mums with the help of my children! Justin was busy mowing the lawn!

I love the spectacular color!

A little stone birdbath

Keegan (my eldest): In charge of sweeping the porch, carrying rocks, and keeping an eye on Logan and Daisy the beagle:)

I planted some of the mums in Terra cotta pots, and some in the ground. I thought that pots in the bed offered some interest. I am no gardener by any means! Here in Missouri there is no shortage of rocks so I incorporated them into my beds. I hope to get some kale and pansies when I can. Budgetary restraints ;)

Logan (my youngest): In charge of playing in the birdbath, running around with daisy the beagle, and digging holes with a trowel

I've always heard to buy the flowers that haven't bloomed yet, but I just loved the color! Instant gratification! I got what I considered middle of the road, a lot of blooms and a lot of buds!

This is my most favorite picture I captured of the beautiful mums!

Summer I will miss you....but Fall is wonderful too!

Thanks for coming by! I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day!
