She had such a wonderful writing style, making you feel you immediately knew her and wanted to be her friend. I also felt a connection to her because I live in NC and visit Morehead City frequently. Now, Michelle is in the arms of the Lord, so my prayers are with her husband, sons and other family members. May peace and happiness and good memories be yours.

ReplyDeleteRest in peace Sweet Michelle! Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteThis is so painful, even though I know she has finished the race successfully that we all are still running. Just as those before me have said, though I never met her, she has been a shining part of my life and I have loved her. There has rarely been a day that I haven't lifted her in prayer for a miracle. She has touched so many, many lives in such a positive and faithfilled way. She has glorified God by her life here on the blog and she will be so very missed. I had a very bad feeling on the ninth and was concerned this might have happened. I'm so grateful you let us know, even while you grieve. I send all my prayers and condolences to her family and I do hope you leave the blog up. She shared so much of herself here. He courage, her devotion to God and her family are shown here. She is such an inspiration in countless ways. I'm just not ready to let go yet. Thank you for sharing her with us. God bless you all through Jesus Christ our Savior.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely and special person Michelle was. Even though I never met her, I can tell she was a woman filled with love and light. It is easy to see, in the photos that she posted here on her blog, that she adored her family and lived a life that was happy and fulfilled. To her loving husband and sons, I am so sorry you've lost such a vital part of your lives. I hope that over time, you will be able to think of her and remember the wonderful times you all shared together and not just the heart breaking end of her life. God bless the Edwards family and bring you comfort in the days, months and years ahead.
ReplyDeleteI am so very sorry for your loss. I'm sure you have beautiful memories to treasure. Michelle was an incredible woman and an amazing example of strength. She had a strong faith, loved her family deeply and possessed amazing talents. My heart goes out to all of you.
ReplyDeleteMichelle was my favorite blogger. She was so brilliantly creative. I know I didn't know her in person but I felt connected to her and will feel her absence. Her faith through her fight against cancer was inspirational. She fought the good fight of trusting in the Lord. I'm so sorry for your loss and I will continue to pray for you all when I think of Michelle - which has been and will be often. I'm thankful for her faith and knowing that I will get to meet her in the next life. My deepest sympathy.
ReplyDeleteTo Elaine MIL thank you. This I know was what Michelle wanted her followers to know. To her sweet husband whom she loved dearly: I have prayed daily for you too as I do believe your strong shoulders bore a heavy load that Jesus says Come unto Me all you who are weary and heavy loaded and I will give you rest.. . To Michelle's sister, how she loved you and wrote about you to me and how happy she felt to have you near...oh For Keegan, she sent a photo of you the day you got your license!! And I pinned it on a board in my kitchen so I'd pray daily for you this fall...and for Logan...she sent your silly face picture with her! It was fun to have fun with Mom. And I've prayed every day too. Keep going to Sunday School and church--that's what she told me she wanted--and never forget that lots of people are praying for all of you. And where two or three of us are gathered in Jesus Name He is here with us. Know the prayers for you will continue during the days, months, and even years ahead.
ReplyDeleteGwen,

ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing Michelle was to the blogging community. I have followed and enjoyed her blog for a long time, and her writing, photography and joy of life were a ray of sunshine in a hard world. Sending lots of love and prayers to your family at this most difficult time. She will be remembered fondly.
ReplyDeleteVery sorry for your loss. I enjoyed Michelle's blog. It is so kind of you to share during this very sad time.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting this. I had a feeling things weren't good when there was an absence of posts. I am so sorry to hear this. Although we never met, Michelle and I shared many private conversations about cancer. I am 43 and lost my husband a year ago to cancer while going through breast cancer myself and my best friend going through it also. I know what you are going through. Keep her spirit alive through happy memories. The kids will get their strength through you. It is the absolute worse thing in the world to watch someone you love so much suffer from this dreadful disease. To stay positive we always say my husband didn't lose his battle he had a "VICTORY" over life. The word victory is now symbolic of my husband. Michelle's life was VICTORIOUS! She was a beautiful person with a beautiful soul. May she rest in peace with no more suffering. Look for signs from her. They will be everywhere. God Bless! XO
ReplyDeleteI am truly sad and so sorry to read this. Michelle was one of the sweetest people on earth. My heart is filled with deep sadness as I write this. I knew when I saw Sweet Something Designs in my inbox that this was the end of the very long road that Michelle, her husband, children and friends have been traveling. I hope that you know that countless people have been praying for all of you. Michelle amazed me with her ability to move forward and send posts...and how I have missed them...She was a fighter and I am thankful that I was able to spend time with her and her designs, news of the family and her long battle through her site. God be with you all, and I thank our Loving God that Michelle is nestled in his arms. With Love and Respect, Kaal
ReplyDeleteI was so very sad to learn of her passing from her sisters posts on FB. I too will think of her every time I see her beautiful work on Pnterest. What a beautiful loving person. I have been praying fervently for y'all in recent days. I know the Lord has been prompting me to pray for you.
ReplyDeleteDear Lord, please be with this hurting family. May they rest in Your comfort & peace. Jesus, may You be the grace sufficient they need to meet each moment of each day. Please be their strength in this time of difficulty, for when we are weak You are strong. Father be their comfort. May they draw near to You that You might draw near to them. Please God, be all they need You to be. In the powerful Name of Jesus, Amen. God bless you. Draw near to God in these days and the days ahead, that you might be close to where your precious loved one is….in the presence of Jesus in glory. May all your Hope be in Christ, Dawn Bridges

I think I may speak for many of Michelle's readers when I say that I hope you will leave her blog on-line for a few months or longer. Those of us who loved her design and came to love her as a person while reading about her courageous battle; may find inspiration looking through past posts and photographs. It's sort of a blogger's equivalent to reminiscing over a family photo album. Blessings to your family.
I appreciate you for honoring Michelle with a tribute post.

ReplyDeleteI feel devastated right now. I can imagine the loss for your family. She gave it her all to fight to stay with all of you. Her body is at rest now but her spirit lives on, I feel it on her blog. Her gifts she shared her touched so many of us and she won't be forgotten. To read her writing on her makes me cry. She so wanted to beat that beast and live. We all don't know why the timing of things like this happen but when they do it's hard to wrap around the brain why. But I pray for you, her family, as so many of us are. She was as she titled her blog, a Sweet Something. She had talent in spades and a love of things that ran deep but the deepest was for her family.
ReplyDeleteMy sincere, deepest condolences. I will miss her writing, her photography and all her designs. She will always be loved and missed and thought of. She was unforgettable.
Hugs,
Kim
I am so sorry for your loss. Michelle was incredibly sweet and talented. She will be missed. Keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers!
ReplyDeleteI am Michelle's husband. I thank all of you for your kind posts; they mean a lot to me and our family. If it were at all practical for me to respond to each of you individually, I would. I appreciate all of you.
ReplyDeleteThank You.
My deepest sympathy goes to you and your family. My heart goes out to you. Peace be with you.
ReplyDeleteI just found Michelle's blog via Pinterest. My heart fell when I uploaded the final post. I'm so, so sorry. What a beautiful wife you had. And a beautiful legacy. I'll be making her sparkly Christmas wreath and thinking of your family.
ReplyDeleteI keep checking in, looking for the kitchen update. I often wonder about you, your sons . . . I purchased several items from Michelle's Etsy shop, and being the generous, warm person she was, there was always a little something extra tucked into the carton. Along with a handwritten note of appreciation. I still have one of those notes, and even though I do not know you or your family, I always say a short prayer for your comfort.
ReplyDeleteI recently found Michelle's blog. I wanted to comment so many times when she talked about cancer. I wanted to tell her that I understood what she was going through. I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer three years ago. I will have cancer for the rest of my life.
ReplyDeleteThank you for keeping her blog up. She was a beautiful and talented woman who loved her husband, children, MIL and sister. Her MIL blessed me in how she was a mom to her. I am still praying for all of you. I'm so so sorry for your loss. I'm glad you know Jesus. I know it's been five years now but it still hurts. Love and prayers for all of you. Love, Lisa
