Citrus Sorbet Tablescape

Hi everyone and welcome to another week of Tablescape Thursday , hosted by Susan @ BNOTP. Make sure you visit all the participants!
http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/
I wanted to do my tablescape outside this week, but it was SO windy, it quickly became a lost cause! You'll notice some of the pictures are outdoors and some are in...bare with me!

I really had fun putting this table together, lately, I've been really drawn to yellow and orange! I just love the color! I put this arrangement together in one of my favorite milk glass vases, using yellow, orange and white. I nickel and dimed all of the flowers and finally had enough to put a centerpiece together...

The little orange Fire King bowls were Justin's Nana's, perfect color! :) If you are familiar with origami, then you probably know this napkin fold...this is all on top of the beautiful Claremont dishes.
I only had 2 of the little red/orange plates, but that's ok...

Here is a semi-close shot of the centerpiece
I used my artificial lemon and oranges in a tall vase as part of the centerpiece, I just love the citrus color!

I really wanted to be outside! You can't beat natural light!
For a different idea, I put the fruit in my favorite milk glass bowl...I think I use milk glass in every tablescape...it's so versatile!

I really love the placemats, and that they are square was a bonus!
Gosh, It's all over!! I had a really nice time! Thank you for stopping by! Thank you Susan for being a great host!

  10. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Too bad we couldn't have met up at Mary Carols. I wanted to buy a topiary under the tent but the size I wanted was sold out...darn!

I bought some pretty bird plates at briar cliff store that have red, blue, grey and white on them. I thought I'd add them to my mantle for a patriotic display with some white pottery and a few flags.

I love these placemats that you are using...where did you get them?

  25. This is so cheerful and festive! And I had a ball looking at all the photos. I remember as a young teen I was enamored of yellow and orange and red together. Still use those colors all the time in the garden. This is beautiful. Such a good job photographing too.

  28. Wow! The pop of colors is great. I too am not a big orange fan, but this is great. My only question is what about flat ware? I think it's great that you could incorporate the fire king. On to summer...you have us on our way.
