Tablescape Thursday

Welcome to Tablescape Thursday!
This is a particularly lovely week to participate because our dear hostess is celebrating her blogversary all week long! Congrats Susan and thank you for hosting! Make sure you run by and visit Susan and everyone at BNOTP!

At this time of year I get a little frazzled...it's BACK TO SCHOOL! I have to adjust as much as my son does!! This year Keegan is entering the 7th grade and I'm still shaking my head....

where does the time go....

So this week I thought I would do a back to school table in honor of my son, much to his chagrin...

I was shopping at my local thrift shop (why do most of my sentences start that way?) and I stumbled across some really cute chalkboards...they are about the size of a clipboard and I initially thought that they would be fun for Logan to scribble on...I found three of them for .99 each. All of them nicely seasoned, I could still faintly see the penmanship of another little child...how sweet!

I know I had Sunflowers last week...but...I just love them and how perfect for back to school.

My creamy sunburst plates and swirly yellow dessert plates are making their appearance...you're probably sick of seeing the little yellow ones huh?

An apple for the teacher....

I mixed and matched my linens...I have had the sunflower napkins for about ten years now, I bought them at Wal-mart...back when they had good stuff...and I paired them with a woven red placemat

I just love the linens...

I painted little wooden tags with chalkboard paint and used them for place cards...

I thought that the yardsticks were a cute addition to the table

Well thank you for joining me for another tablescape, hope you visit again soon!

Here is Keegan: My Jr. High Schooler!! Love this kid!!

Good Luck this year!!
