Before the Luncheon with Colin Cowie began, I was able to capture some shots of Mary Carol's Kansas City store. All along the front of her store, big wreathes hung at each window-love the apples! The interior is quite beautiful....go ahead, take a look...
I love this chair!
Look at these linens!!
I am always inspired when I leave this wonderful place! If you can get there, do....you'll be happy you did.
If you didn't win, look for my cute gingerbread men over at my Etsy Shop, I've got them listed! Click on my sidebar!
Thanks for coming by!
Boy, after the luncheon with Colin, next week is going to be b.o.r.i.n.g! ;)
Hi Michelle:
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed all the pics of Nell Hill's. I live just a few miles from the store and try and get there often to see what new ideas Mary Carol has. I was actually at her Atchison store this weekend browsing through all the fabulous merchandise.
Have a great weekend.
Jane
Thanks for sharing the pics! I only wish I could click on them and supersize them ... sigh. Everything looks inspiring!
ReplyDeleteWhat are the prices like at her shops? The online store seems to have a nice range of prices ... are the stores the same way?
I had never heard of this store until I started blogging. Now, I've decided it just might be worth the 5 hour drive! The pics are gorgeous.

I've been to the Atchison store, several times, but only to the KC store, once. I was there right after it opened. One of my daughters and her husband just moved over that way, so I'm sure I will get to go to Nell Hill's again one of these days. I love the store and am always inspired by MCG!
ReplyDeleteLove your photos!!
Thanks for sharing! Beautiful pics and beautiful store! I've never been to a NH's (dont think there is one in Canada) but love Mary Carol Garrity's style/decor books. Looks like her stores are fabulous too!

This shop is GORGEOUS. I see several things I want so bad! What a fun time you must have had. I absolutely loved KC when I used to visit there years ago when my sister lived there. Such a fabulous town!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila
Oh, it's been a couple of years since I was in her Atchinson store. Your photos make me want to go back. She really has a comfortable look, doesn't she? And she is just the sweetest lady, and flits around the store like she owns it! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pics. I needed this inspiration as I'm working on Christmas faux arrangements for my show.
Donna
Oh! Beautiful pictures. I want to go visit the store so badly. laurie
ReplyDeleteWow, what an incredible experience. Colin in that amazing space. Just wow!
ReplyDeleteWell, I just had to get some paper towels and rub the drool off of my keyboard. To believe that I lived in Overland Park for three years and did not go to her store. (maybe it was not even open then, not sure?) But, if I ever drive to Colorado again to see my son (versus flying), you better believe I will be taking the "scenic" route. LOL Thanks so much for sharing these pics with us. Not so jealous of your Colin Cowie pics (nahhhh) but oh my - meeting Ms. Garrity makes me pea green woth envy. So happy for you.
