Hi everyone! Thanks for coming by~I thought it would be fun to do another outdoor autumn tablescape before the weather turns too cool. Although I hope to do one winter tablescape on my new old table this holiday season, I'll just have to bundle up! Today, however, was a beautiful 75 degree day, a little overcast, but that is the perfect ingredients for pictures. So I hope you get some ideas to use for your Thanksgiving gathering.
I've had this leaf and acorn dinnerware for years now, you might remember seeing it last year, it's a beautiful green and I love using it this time of year. The mug handles make fun napkin holders. Wouldn't it be great to serve soup in the mugs? Or of course just to have after dinner coffee.
Mary Carol Collection wicker chargers, I love these, if you don't have them, you should! :)
I have always loved the tradition on the cornucopia, this one looks great with the chargers, and I filled it with glittered pumpkins, gourds, berries and leaves. I don't know if you can tell, but I put the cornucopia on a serving tray first, just to add another layer and makes it easy to move if you need to.
The silverware in jars make it easy to grab your own set, especially if you serve buffet style like my mom always did.
Cue silverware photo shoot! :)
For a tablecloth, I just used burlap yardage, and a runner that matches the napkins
Some of my favorite glassware
Thanks so much for stopping by I hope you're inspired!

Hi Michelle, thanks for the visit! You have made your table a photography work of art, and I love it. I love the canning jars as silverware holders and the napkins through the mug handles. And, oh, your centerpiece.
ReplyDeleteTake care!
Kathy
This is gorgeous! Very traditional which is what I like!
ReplyDeletelove your dishes, but what i love most is your style~
ReplyDeleteYou sure do know how to do table scapes. I love this one, that table sure is coming in handy, I don't think it can take a bad picture.
ReplyDeleteI love the fact that you put the cornucopia on a tray. It's easy for centerpieces to get lost, but the tray really grounds it.
ReplyDeleteTotally beautiful. I love the burlap. Why did I think it was only for gunny sack races? Might have to rethink my Thanksgiving table plans, trying to impress the MIL, whose coming for only the second Thanksgiving in 25 years...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the flatware in the jars. My grandmother used to keep a silver dish on the table with silver sppoons in it. (I now own those spoons.) Funny thing though, no one ever dared use them and they got very dusty!
ReplyDeleteI love the green china and your stunning centerpiece!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful and I am so ready for Thanksgiving! I love that you got it in outside before it was too late. Don't you wish you could get out side till Dec. 1st? Wonderful table!
ReplyDeleteSherry
What a beautiful table! Love the burlap and the dishes-enjoy:@)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love your tablescape. I gasped when I saw your green dinnerware because just yesterday I served bread on my ONE and only green plate like yours that I have had for a long time. I cannot for the life of me understand why I have only one plate but would be thrilled to have a set or two! Do you have a better memory than I do and possibly know where you purchased yours? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteJust wonderful, where do you store your pictures to upload. Picaso is shutting me out of my account saying its full and I have to pay a fee for more space? You use a lot of pictures too. Just wondering.
ReplyDeleteI love your Tablescape Michelle!!! Just so perfect for the fall!!!!! Love it, Love it!!!!

Beautiful!! What pattern is your lovely flatware?
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Michelle! I love that you did it outside, too. It just seems so fitting for a "harvest" type theme. Love the cornucopia and how it is overflowing. Your green dishes are so pretty; I love that color green in dishware, too, and have some in a different pattern. The silverware pattern is stunning! Good idea to set them up that way ~ I usually do buffets but on Thanksgiving I always do a sit down.
ReplyDeleteLove those silver-filled jars & and burlap table! Beautiful setting :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! I love the silverware in the Ball jars!
ReplyDeleteDonna
GORGEOUS!!! you totally inspired me to set up a mini display on my front step w/a cornucopia & the gords that will be left when I am done cooking the squash :) thanks!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful-I'll be using some of your great ideas on my Thanksgiving table-like burlap. I'm loving it!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone!
ReplyDeleteColleen, I bought the dinnerware at Walmart, but it's been 5 maybe 6 years ago now. I wish I had gotten more!
Lori, I am at almost at 50% capacity with Picasa, but I only export the ones that make onto the blog, meaning of the 78+ that I took for this particular post, only the the best 25 got exported. See if you can't delete some pictures that are in your web album to free up space. When I get to full capacity though, I will probably upgrade because of how easy it is to use.
Jenny, the flatware is OLD,old, old, it says Prestige on the handle, but no pattern name
Just gorgeous! I love the burlap, the glasses, and the silverware in the ball jars. Gets me thinking!
ReplyDeleteLove the deep greens of the dishes against the browns.
ReplyDeleteBrenda

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful table! I love your dinnerware - the color and texture are wonderful. The silverware in the jars is such a great idea. I love the cornucopia. My mother always has one on her table this time of year and I think it is time I got one too. We are hoping to have Thanksgiving dinner outside this year. I guess we will have to wait and see what the day brings us.
ReplyDeleteYour idea for using the handle of the soup cup as a napkin ring is a GREAT idea! Consider it borrowed/stolen. The Nell Hill chargers are great...love her stores. Thank you for sharing your lovely design. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteI have been looking at these chargers for quite awhile, and they look so nice on your table that I think I will have to give in! The little sparkle on a few of the pumpkins is a nice touch! Linda
